HEADROOM

For children and young people

Headroom is the Talk Matters service aimed specifically at children and young people. Headroom offers counselling children and young people in the local Dunfermline area with our Children and Young People’s Counsellor.

Counselling will be tailored to be relevant to the child or young person’s age and abilities . The use of play and creative expression may  feature as part of the therapy, enabling  children and young people to  find suitable ways to tell their stories, express themselves and find ways to manage  their lives.   

Our service is small at present but grant funding has now been received  to train additional  Play Therapists to expand the service for the future.

Headroom is run both from the Talk Matters centre and from Woodmill Secondary School.
